Rachel Huerta
"I began my teaching career in U-46 in 1997 and have spent most of that time teaching 3rd grade. I joined the Sycamore Trails community in 2005, and it has been a privilege to work alongside such dedicated staff, students, and families.
I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Education from Judson University and my Master's Degree in Teaching from Aurora University. Over the years, I have also contributed to district curriculum writing, the School Improvement Committee, and several family engagement initiatives.
After many years in the classroom, I've come to truly appreciate the energy and enthusiasm that 8- and 9- year olds bring to learning. I'm passionate about teaching not only academics but also the social and emotional skills- like self-regulation, empathy, and teamwork- that help students grow into confident, kind, and capable learners."
